About Social Media Club Gold Coast

Social Media Club Gold Coast’s mission is to build and connect a community of people interested in social media and to share our knowledge and experiences. We want to share advanced media literacy, promote industry standards, encourage ethical behavior and share the lessons we have learnt.

Social Media Club brings together journalists, publishes, communications professionals, artist, media creators, teachers, students, small business owners and heaps more!

Essentially the people who create and consume media who have an interest in seeing the ‘media industry’ evolve for everyone’s benefit!

The Gold Coast committee is run by Niq Curry, Danika Smedley, Michael Rees, Peta Hopkins and Glenn Goodman.

Please be aware @SMCGC events are public; sometimes we live stream or record on video and upload to YouTube at a later date; some people in the audience record the presentations, while others tweet about is using the #SMCGC hashtag.
